Biography

Short Description

Kornelija Horvat is not treated in the standard historical, ecclesiastical, or hagiographical reference works available for verification. The associated Wikidata identifier does not correspond to a figure documented in printed martyrologies, national biographical encyclopedias of Croatia or neighboring lands, the Roman Martyrology, or publicly known acts of the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints. No birth record, death notice, contemporary vita, or reliable secondary study has been identified that would allow a year of birth or death, a place of origin, or a place of burial to be stated.

The given name Kornelija is the South Slavic feminine form of Cornelia, and Horvat is a widespread surname in Croatia and adjacent regions, historically indicating Croatian ethnicity. These onomastic observations do not by themselves establish the subject’s birthplace, confession, or state of life. No source confirms membership in a religious institute, a marriage, children, or any episcopal, patriarchal, or papal office. The name does not appear among the popes of Rome or Alexandria or among the patriarchs and catholicoi of the Eastern churches.

No feast day, patronage, beatification, or canonization is recorded for this name in the liturgical calendars of the Croatian bishops’ conference or in other accessible Catholic calendars. Claims of sanctity, martyrdom, or public cult therefore cannot be advanced. The present notice is limited to an acknowledgment of obscurity: without parish registers, religious-order chronicles, or critically assessed civil records, the biographical fields required by this schema must remain empty rather than filled by conjecture.
